1 Day Paediatric First Aid - OFSTED
Course overview:
This paediatric first aid course is suitable for Nannies, Au pairs and Parents. The first aid course covers all the necessary requirements for registration on the Ofsted Voluntary register.
A sufficient command of the English language is needed to successfully pass this course.
Dates in 2012: 19th February 2012, 18th March 2012, 15th April 2012, 13th May 2012, 17th June 2012, 22nd July 2012.
Venue: St. James Centre, 1 Florence Way, Ouseley Road, London SW12 8EW.
Attendance: Sunday's 10am - 1pm
Length of Course: 3 hrs
Cost of Course: £75
Cost includes, assessment, certification, registration, all course materials and refreshments.
Common Core Skills Training For Nannies and Au Pairs
In order to register on the Ofsted Voluntary Childcare Register and/or comply with Ofsted requirements childcarers are required to undertake Common Core Skills & Knowledge Training.
Dates: 3rd and 4th March , 7th & 8th April, 5th & 6th May, 2nd and 3rd June, 7th & 8th July.
Cost: £140pp
Time: 10am - 5.30pm

Participants will have the chance to:
Understand the purpose of behaviour and how it fits with children's emotional needs
Think of behaviour within the context of their specific work circumstances
Explore the importance of language when managing behaviour
Reflect and develop a personal approach that is based on existing strengths, is realistic and easy to implement
Further acquire practical strategies to deal with challenging behaviour
