1 Day Paediatric First Aid - OFSTED

Course overview:
This paediatric first aid course is suitable for Nannies, Au pairs and Parents. The first aid course covers all the necessary requirements for registration on the Ofsted Voluntary register.

A sufficient command of the English language is needed to successfully pass this course.

Dates in 2012: 19th February 2012, 18th March 2012, 15th April 2012, 13th May 2012, 17th June 2012, 22nd July 2012.

Venue: St. James Centre, 1 Florence Way, Ouseley Road, London SW12 8EW.

Attendance: Sunday's 10am - 1pm

Length of Course: 3 hrs

Cost of Course: £75

Common Core Skills Training For Nannies and Au Pairs

Overview:
In order to register on the Ofsted Voluntary Childcare Register and/or comply with Ofsted requirements childcarers are required to undertake Common Core Skills & Knowledge Training.

Babyem provide the Common Core Skills & Knowledge Training accredited through OCN (Level 3) , which meets the 6 common core skills areas required by Ofsted.

Babyem is the only major training agency to cover additional important topics such as Healthy Eating, Managing Behaviour, Knowing your rights and responsibilities and offer a free CV consultancy service for candidates. This enables candidates to demonstrate further learning to parents, further increasing their professional development.

Managing Behaviour - Advanced Level

This course provides participants with an effective approach in how to best manage challenging behaviour and build relationships with children and their families. Participants will have the opportunity to draw on past and current experiences, whilst applying key theory learnt throughout the day.

The course will be facilitated by an Educational and Child Psychologist with extensive experience in working with children from 0-19 years and particular expertise in children's emotional and behavioural development, special needs and parenting support.

Course Content:
Participants will have the chance to:
Understand the purpose of behaviour and how it fits with children's emotional needs
Think of behaviour within the context of their specific work circumstances
Explore the importance of language when managing behaviour
Reflect and develop a personal approach that is based on existing strengths, is realistic and easy to implement
Further acquire practical strategies to deal with challenging behaviour
