Our Story

Babushka Childcare has been helping families find trusted nannies and household staff since 2009. The agency grew out of something very personal, the experience of a mother who understood how hard it can be to find the right support at home.

Svetlana founded the agency after working in childcare and recruitment, combining her professional knowledge, a diploma in Early Years Childcare, with the practical understanding that comes from raising her own children. Having lived in London for more than twenty years, she knows the realities of family life here and what makes a placement work in practice, not just on paper.

From the very beginning, the focus has been simple: to listen to parents, to understand what they truly need, and to find candidates who are caring, reliable, and professional. That is why so many families come back to us again and again, and why most of our new clients arrive through personal recommendations.
